Thai Jasmine Rice

Jasmine Rice is a long grain white aromatic rice, grown in Thailand and highly prized for its delicate flowery aroma and sweet flavor. When cooked grains are lightly sticky with a soft texture.

Used for steamed rice, fried rice, stir fry dishes and rice pudding, or as an alternative to other fragrant long-grain rice, with grilled meat, poultry or seafood.

Cooking Instructions for plain rice:

1. In a sauce pan add 1 1/2cups of water/ Cup of washed & rinsed rice, add a pinch of salt to taste (optional)
2. Stir lightly, bring to a rolling boil, lower the heat, cover with lid and simmer for 20 minutes or until rice is sticky yet fluffy.
3. Turn off the heat, let the rice steamed in the covered pot at least another 5 minutes or until the rice has absorbed the liquid.
4. Fluff the rice with a fork and serve hot.

One cup of rice will yield: 2 1/2 cups of cooked rice.
