Syrian Rue Seeds (Peganum harmala)

Also known as ‘wild rue, esfand or harmal’. Used as an incense, to purify the air as well as the mind. A red dye is obtained from the seed to dye carpets or wool.
Caution of health hazard of Rue Seed: it does contain hallucinogenic and narcotic alkaloids, inducing a sense of euphoria and releasing inhibitions can causes hallucinations and vomiting.
