Date jaggery from Bangladesh, Khejur gur is a type of uncertified jaggery that is generally produced in small scale industries of West Bengal and Jharkhand. They are produced from the early morning sap of the date palm trees.  Khejur gur is generally in liquid form because it is completely natural with no added preservatives or chemicals, which is usually added during processing.

The real deal Patali Gur

Once I sorted through all the different types of jaggery, I zeroed in on Patali Gur as my go to.

Next up was sourcing and that was not easy. It was the best leap of faith I took when ordering from Bengal Seafood…my new go-to for sourcing date palm jaggery (Patali Gur).

Harder to find such quality.

Needed some date jaggery pretty quickly as our nearby stores were out of stock . ordered from this store. The delivery was fast , you received after 3 or 4 days of placing the order ! and the quality of the jaggery was very, very good , A + category. Even better than the best date jaggery I found in North Carolina.
