Alkanet Root Powder (Alkanna tinctoria)

Alkanet Root is the source of an organic red dye, used as a natural, oil-soluble colorant for cosmetics,foods, and textiles. Traditionally used topically for the treatment to soothe skin irritation, treat burns, and aid in healing wounds.*

To make Oil: Infuse 1tbsp powder in ¼ cup of oil. Shake or stir daily for a few days, then strain out the root.
