Madder root is a herbal coloring root, popularly known as the 'Common Madder’ or Dyer's Madder Root, has been used as a coloring agent to produce a colorful dye ranging from bright orange to a vibrant red.
Madder is applied externally to treat skin related conditions, varicose veins, rashes, boils, eruptions, and to wash chronic wounds.*
For Decoction: Boil 1 to 2 oz roots in 4- 6qt. water for use as a skin wash.
